TWO members of staff from a Staithes school have been sent to the top of the class.
The school cook at Seton, Julie Welford, has been awarded a five star food hygiene rating from school meals provider North Yorkshire County Caterers.
And Julie Stonehouse, the caretaker for nine years, has received five gold stars in recognition of excellent cleaning standards from Building Cleaning Services.
It is the sixth consecutive year that Julie, who has worked at Seton since 2002, has achieved the status which is the highest accolade she can get.
Ros Barningham, headteacher, said: “We are immensely proud of our Julies for achieving the highest awards in their fields.
“As an Ofsted rated outstanding educational establishment we feel they have put the final icing on the school cake and offer them sincere thanks for all the effort and extra care involved.”
