Stakesby School in Whitby has had an end of year celebration for a number of different groups within the school.
The first celebration was for the school getting the Green Flag award for eco-sustainability.
They are the first school within the borough to achieve this award and only the 12th school in the whole of North Yorkshire.
All of this was done with the help of pupils from year two upwards.
The school has also had great successes on the sports fields as well.
The year five and six girls’ football team are the North Yorkshire champions, beating their rivals in a penalty shoot-out.
The same year groups also got to the Yorkshire regional finals of the inter-schools tag rugby with great success.
Finally, on the subject of sport, the year five and six athletics team also got to the North Yorkshire finals.
Musical talents were also celebrated in years three and four, with 60 pupils who only started playing instruments at the start of the academic year putting on an end of year concert.
Years five and six were celebrated after helping out in the local community.
The pupils organised a garden party as an end to the topic they were studying at school with elderly residents invited to attend.
