Edna Law really was a glamorous gran as she celebrated her 100th birthday. Born in Leeds she moved to Loftus as a little girl and worked in hotels in Whitby and Sandsend and also Saltburn laundry. Her only daughter Shirley ran numerous pubs in Whitby.
She has three grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Her hobbies were sewing, dancing, baking and camping. Edna loves the Regatta and won glamorous gran one year. She has enjoyed holidays abroad and outings to Middlesbrough, going each week on the bus on her own until she was 98. Edna celebrated her birthday at the care home in Loftus, where she now lives with her family, and received a telegram from the Queen.
