Whitby’s East Cliff has been voted one of the most “naturally stunning” landmarks in the country.
One of the most historic parts of the town, as pictured by Scott Wicking on Monday night, came sixth in the poll of tour operator National Express customers.
A thousand people were surveyed in a bid to inspire people to visit areas of Britain and give some spring travel ideas ahead of the May Bank Holiday.
The Peak District Hills topped the list but other areas of North Yorkshire featured in the top 10.
Brimham Rocks in the Nidderdale area was eighth while the Howardian Hills in the Vale of Pickering were ninth.
