Whitby man guilty of threatening and abusive behaviour

A WHITBY man who pleaded guilty to three counts of threatening and abusive behaviour was fined over £1,200 at a Scarborough Magistrates’ Court hearing on 21 June.

Ross Cooling (20), of Castle Road, pleaded guilty to the incidents which took place on 12 February and 28 April this year.

The incidents on 12 February took place at Bobbies Bank and Wellington Road in Whitby, while the 28 April incident took place in Scarborough.

Mr Cooling was fined a total of £1,160, ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge and must pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
