Two arrested after attempted post office robbery

Two men have been arrested following an attempted robbery at a post office in Hinderwell earlier today (Tuesday).

The incident was reported to police at 12.50pm after two men, one with what was believed to be an imitation firearm, entered the post office on the High Street and threatened a worker.

One of the men was detained by member of the public and when police arrived at the scene minutes later, the second offender was detained. Officers arrested both men and took them to custody, where they remain for questioning. Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
