A group of youths who engaged in sexual activity and anti-social behaviour at Malton railway station are being hunted.
Officers from British Transport Police are appealing for information after the incident on Thursday October, between 5.20pm and 5.40pm.
PC Nick Storey said: “Four youths, two male and two female, entered the station. The two males then urinated on the platforms before one of them threw a large bag of rubbish on to the tracks, then jumped down and trespassed on the tracks himself.
“The other man then exposed himself to passengers on the platform before entering the station cycle shed with one of the females where they engaged in indecent sexual activity.
“Police were called but group had left the station prior to the officer’s arrival.
“This type of behaviour is offensive and completely unacceptable. It also certainly can’t have been pleasant for other passengers on the platform who may have witnessed it. If anyone recognises the man in the bobble hat, who we would like to speak to about trespassing on the tracks, or the other couple, then please get in touch.”
