A Scaling Dam motorcross enthusiast will be unable to compete in Whitby next weekend following the theft of his three motorbikes.
The burglary occurred overnight between Wednesday and Thursday (10 and 11 April) at Forge House in Scaling Dam.
Thieves gained access to the rear of the farmhouse and stole three KTM motorcross bikes.
Two of the bikes are orange while the third is black.
It is believed the burglars then made off in another vehicle.
The victim had intended to take part in Whitby Motorcross Club’s meeting at the Skelder Bank track next Sunday, but said he will now be unable to compete.
Any witnesses or anyone who may have information regarding the theft or the whereabouts of the bikes is urged to contact PC Steven Woodacre of Redcar and Cleveland Police on 101. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
