A Whitby man is set to stand trial at crown court next month in connection with indecent images of children.
Nathan Peter Smith (25) of Helredale Road will make a first appearance at York Crown Court next Friday (August 14).
It follows an appearance at Scarborough Magistrate’s Court last Thursday.
He faces three separate counts of making an indecent image of a child at an address in Scarborough on November 14 last year.
Smith was also charged with three counts of having in his possession an indecent image of a child at an address in Scarborough on November 14 last year.
There were three further counts of distributing an indecent image of a child which are alleged to have taken place at the same address in Scarborough on November 13 last year that were also put to Smith.
Smith is also charged with taking an indecent photograph of a child at the Scarborough address on November 14.
Smith pleaded not guilty to all of the ten charges put to him during last Thursday’s appearance at the magistrates court.
The case was referred to York Crown Court.
Smith was released on police bail until the next hearing. His bail condition states that Smith must have no unsupervised contact with a child under the age of 18.
