Latest news on Seamer building site incident, when man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

Police have today confirmed a man arrested for suspicion of attempted murder at a Seamer building site remains on police bail.

The incident occurred on Saturday November 30.

Police were called to the building site on Beacon Road in Seamer at 8.55am after receiving reports that a man had suffered serious injuries after being hit by a digger.

The injured man, who is aged in his 30s, was airlifted to James Cook Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Officers arrested the driver of the digger, also aged in his 30s, on suspicion of attempted murder and affray, who was later released on conditional bail.

North Yorkshire Police confirmed on Monday January 6 he remains on bail whilst investigations continue.
