Girl, 14, arrested after attack on woman in Filey

As reported by The Scarborough News, a 19-year-old woman was assaulted in Queen Street at around 9.50pm on Tuesday.

Police have revealed that a 14-year-old girl was arrested shortly afterwards on suspicion of assault and has been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the incident or to anyone who may have seen anyone in the area at the time leading up to it.

In particular, they would like to hear from any members of the public who are believed to have intervened.
