An all-terrain vehicle was stolen from outside a cottage in Goathland on Monday.

The six-wheeler Polaris Sportsman and its trailer are valued at £4,000 and a number of power drills were also taken. Anyone with information should call 101.

PC Neil Graham, of Whitby Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “The stolen ATV is highly distinctive as it has six wheels and I am sure that anyone who has seen it will remember the vehicle.

“If you can help to locate the Polaris Sportsman or any of the other stolen property, I urge you to contact the police straight away.”

PC Graham said: “I am also keen to speak to anyone who saw any unusual vehicles in the Goathland area around the time of the theft and ask that they get in touch with the police.”

The all terrain vehicle is green and attached to a galvanised Richardson 750GP trailer.

Among the stolen power tools are a Paslode nail gun and drills manufactured by Dewalt and Urbower.

Anyone who can help officers with this investigation should contact Whitby police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Neil Graham. Alternatively, information can be emailed to neil.graham@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk.
