The venue will welcome hundreds of vintage and classic vehicles as it hosts the event for the second year on Father’s Day (June 18).

The Kangaroo Kid quad bike stunt show will headline the entertainment programme and visitors will also be able to enjoy displays from car clubs and motor dealers throughout the day.

Castle Howard, which has been immortalised in small and big screen versions of Evelyn Waugh’s celebrated novel Brideshead Revisited, provides a fitting backdrop for the stylish vehicles that will be driving into the estate.

Rachel Underwood, Castle Howard marketing manager, said: “The North Lawn is the perfect showcase for the hundreds of classic cars, vintage vehicles and modern motors we look forward to welcoming. With a fantastic view of the Great Lake and North York Moors beyond it’s a wonderful spot for owners to picnic.

Car owners will compete in a number of categories at this year’s show: American Car, Kit Car, Military/Commercial, Pre-war, Post-war, Sports Car and Motorcycle.
