Castleton man rushed to hospital with life-threatening head injury
A man in his 70s was rushed to James Cook University Hospital via air ambulance after suffering a life-threatening head injury at home.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called to assist Yorkshire Ambulance Service with the patient in Castleton yesterday.
The patient was assessed by the paramedic and doctor team before being placed in an induced coma and flown to hospital for ongoing treatment.
His condition is described as critical.
