Plans for new cafes, more cash machines and house alterations are among proposals that have been put forward to Scarborough Borough Council.

The planning applications were discussed at Whitby Town Council’s planning committee but a final decision will be made by SBC at a later date.

They include additional ATM machine to the existing branch frontage, The Royal Bank of Scotland, Baxtergate; small illuminated Bezel to ATM machine and small Natwest button illuminated signage, The Royal bank of Scotland, Baxtergate; change of use of to cafe/tea rooms, Chainbridge, The Carrs, Ruswarp; variation of condition to allow use of the whole site as a holiday caravan park on a year round basis at Airy Hill Caravan Park, Prospect Hill, Whitby; proposed alterations and conversions to revert existing single dwelling back to two number dwellings at 9-10 Borough Place, Whitby; demolition of garage and erection of proposed extension to form two bedrooms, staff/overflow guest accommodation and laundry at Wheeldale Hotel, 11 North Promenade, Whitby; creation of bedroom in roof space with construction of dormer within front roof elevation, annexe to 4 Hydings Yard, Bagdale; BT Pole, 17 Mount Square, Whitby; two storey side extension providing kitchen, dining room and bedroom with en-suite at first floor level, 3 Marlborough Avenue, Whitby; replacement and installation of Upvc box sliding sash windows to front elevation at first floor level, flat 3, 13 Abbey Terrace, Whitby.
