A LONG established caravan site at Port Mulgrave was given planning permission by the North York Moors National Park planning committee to create five additional touring caravan pitches.

The applicant was David Newton of The Coach House, Port Mulgrave who took over the site in 2003.

It was described as small but long established having been there for about 50 years with ten pitches and contained by a well established boundary of shrubs, hedging and trees. It is in use between March and October each year.
