Vivo Property Buyers asked the public to send in a photo of a special place outdoors which felt like home.

All three Yorkshire entries are from the Whitby area. They are:

She said: “My parents had a holiday home near Whitby and every year since the children were little, we would take a holiday there, they had to sell the home due to illnesses, but we have lots of happy memories.”

* Claire Woolf, Danby

She said: “This is the view from my garden and I’m proud that the place I have chosen is really my home.

“How can one fail to be filled with awe and wonderment when looking at that view?
