Guffaws aplenty in Keith Lemon: The Movie

Guffaws aplenty in Keith Lemon: The Movie

The Lorax is an amazing CG movie from the makers of Despicable Me based on a book by Dr Seuss.

Ted (Zac Efron) will do anything to get the attention of Audrey (Taylor Swift).

When she introduces him to the concept of trees, he knows he has to get her one.

But he wasn’t counting on having to deal with The Lorax, a grumpy creature who has taken it upon himself to protect the world.

Cue a highly colourful adventure (in every sense of the word) that will give Ted an insight into the mysteries of the universe.

This shows at Whitby Pavilion on 1 and 2 September at 2.30pm.

TV personality and comedian Keith Lemon heads to the silver screen in his new movie. Keith Lemon: The Movie serves up the first feature-length helping of the TV legend and as you’d expect, it’s a total guffaw-fest.

With dreams of becoming a successful entrepreneur just like his beloved Richard Branson, Lemon (Leigh Francis) bids farewell to his hometown of Leeds and heads for the capital.

When he becomes an overnight billionaire, it seems everything is going his way, but it’s not long before he discovers that life can be just as cruel as it is kind.

Keith Lemon: The Movie follows our dubious hero’s journey to discover what really makes him happy.

Guess what? It’s Leeds.

The pavilion will be showing the 14, 15, 16 and 18 September at 7.30pm

The Expendables 2 sees the return of this most impressive cast for another highly-explosive adventure.

When Mr Church (Bruce Willis) regroups guns for hire, The Expendables, everyone thinks the mission is going to be a bit of a walk in the park.

But when one of them is murdered by a rival mercenary while carrying it out, the mood changes and the team are now not only desperate to disarm a deadly weapon but are on the hunt for revenge.

The cast is completed by Arnold Schwartzenegger, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren.

The film shows on 22, 23 and 25 September at 7.30pm.

Don’t forget Batman the Dark Knight Raises is showing at Whitby Pavilion this weekend (Sat 25 and Sun 26 August) at 2.30pm and Mon 27 and Wed 29 August at 7.30pm.
