WHITBY’s Trinity Centre has been given a generous boost thanks to fund-raisers.
A donation of £650.00 was recently presented to the popular day centre in Flowergate which is visited by many elderly people.
The money was presented by the social members of the Whitby Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (RAOB), which holds a social evening once a month, nominate a charity at the begining of the year and raise money over the ensuing 12 months at social evenings.
Last year was the turn of Trinity Centre and Barbara Plum recieved the cheque at the RAOB Lodge Room on behalf of the centre.
Two Lodges meet during the week – the Whitehall Lodge gather on Friday evenings while the Black Horse Lodge meet on Sunday evenings.
Both would like to extend a welcome to any lapsed members and to anyone who would like to join the order.
