A green-fingered brother and sister duo have grown a giant sunflower which is still going strong.
Leo and Olivia Tyreman, aged nine and seven, have been watering the plant every day in their back garden on Helredale Road, Whitby during the school holidays.
It towers above the pair of them and the garden fence just a month after it was planted.
Mum Linda said: “My mum planted them one each at her house. One started shooting up faster than the other one so they decided to take their name labels off and share the bigger one. About a month ago we put it outside. They have grown it themselves and water it all the time.”
