The 2018/19 Evo-Stik Premier Division fixtures were released on Thursday morning, with the Blues set to travel to the Flamingo Land Stadium on Bank Holiday Monday August 27 for their fourth game of the campaign.

That clash follows on from a home opener against Buxton on Saturday August 18, and away clash at North Ferriby United on Tuesday August 21 and a clash with Witton Albion at the Turnbull Ground on Saturday August 25.

Town welcome East Coast rivals Scarborough to the Turnbull for the return clash on New Year’s Day, Tuesday January 1.

Boss Hardy said: “When the fixtures come out, everyone always looks for the derby games first, and now we finally have a derby against Scarborough Athletic and it’s exciting for everyone at the club.

“It doesn’t get much better than Scarborough at home on New Year’s Day and no doubt the fans will enjoy that one.”

Hardy is keen for his side to make a strong start when they host Buxton in their first game of the season.

“It’s very pleasing to get a home game first up,” added Hardy.

“It’s a game we will be looking to win, no doubt.”

Hardy’s men start their pre-season campaign at Billingham on Saturday, and the boss admits the release of the fixtures for the new campaign has whetted his appetite for the kick-off of the 2018/19 season.

“It makes it real that the season is approaching when the fixtures are released and everyone is working hard to make sure we are ready once August 18 and Buxton at home comes around,” added Blues manager Hardy.

“We’ve done some good business are are looking to add to that in the coming weeks.”
