Biker injured in Guisborough road crash
Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist suffered serious injuries following a collision on the Guisborough to Whitby Road near Egton.
It happened at around 4pm on Sunday 17 July 2016 on the A171 between the turn-offs to Egton and Aislaby.
It involved a Suzuki motorcycle and a grey Merecdes CL Class travelling in the same direction towards Guisborough. The motorcyclist, a 34-year-old man from Hartlepool sustained back and chest injuries and was airlifted to James Cook Hospital. His injuries are serious but not believed to be life-threatening. The driver of the Mercedes, a 38-year-old man from Stockton was uninjured.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision and to anyone who saw the vehicles prior to the crash, to contact them.
