Selfless people who have carried out good deeds, community-minded volunteers and outstanding charity efforts are just some of the types of commitment that will be recognised at the Borough’s Big Thank You Awards.

The awards are being run by the mayor of the borough Cllr Pat Marsburg, in conjunction with The Scarborough News, the Filey and Hunmanby Mercury and the Whitby Gazette. The main sponsors are McCain.

The winners will be announced at Scarborough’s Spa Complex on Tuesday March 24.

The closing date for nominations is Monday February 16 2015 but please complete and return the form now so we can publish some of them.

And this year there will be a greater focus on honouring the borough’s youth, with a host of awards to recognise their talent.

There’s a chance to nominate someone you know in awards for the Young Entrepreneur, a Young Carer/Helper, the Courage over Adversity and for Uniform Groups.
