A bevvy of bikers from Beverley’s Rotary Club were welcomed into Whitby on Sunday as they completed the second leg of a series of charity rides to raise money for ‘Real Aid’ which provides crisis boxes for victims of flooding.

As they cyclists arrived at Sneaton Castle to a warm welcome and refreshments from the Whitby Endeavour Rotary Club a spokesperson said: “Many of the people of Whitby town and district who suffered heartache and financial loss from the damage caused by floods and tidal surge will be heartened to know that if it ever happens again they can receive a crisis box containing everything they will need to help them clean and repair their homes and businesses.”
