A Whitby teenager is getting the heady heights ahead of an aid trip to Africa.
Beth Clarkson (18) is doing a charity skydive on September 16 to help raise cash to fund her mission to Zimbabwe.
She leaves her home on California Terrace at the beginning of October and will spend three months working with people who have AIDs and HIV as well as working with young children.
The Prior Purseglove student said: “I heard about it through the National Citizen Service.
“I wanted to go and see a third world country for myself, see the worst in life and make a difference and do something to help make it a better place.”
