The accolade is given to just 100 accommodation providers across the country in Recognition of Service Excellence.

With a 5 star rating as well as Gold and Breakfast Awards, achieved through a yearly quality inspection visit, expectations are always high at Eighteen97.

It is the observations by the Visit England quality assessor, that triggers the award nomination.

Consideration is also given to online customer reviews. 178 five star, excellent, reviews affirm Eighteen97 as a rather special place to stay,

The final judging panel also looks for innovation that sets the business apart. This includes facilities or services offered to make the customer’s stay really special.

Owners Tim Gardham and his wife Fiona are extremely proud of the award.

“We poured our heart and soul into the renovation of this beautiful historic property and it is extremely pleasing to know that we have gained such a special award only two years after opening Eighteen97,” Fiona said.
