An award for RAF Fylingdales culinary creations is the icing on the cake for the small team behind catering at the base.
Staff at the radar base have been crowned Team of the Year in the Regional Star awards held in Colchester.
And here have also been some individual winners with catering manager at RAF Fylingdales, Joanne Goff scooping the National Sodexo Star award for Committed to You for the South East Area.
It recognises her for various aspects of recruiting, rewarding staff and implementing good team practice.
RAF Fylingdales second chef Wendy Wallace was also recognised winning a bronze award for Salon Culinaire at Royal Ascot for her cup cakes.
Joanne said: “This is the icing on the cake for the team as everyone has played their part in our success for this award.
“We are a small team ensuring the station personnel are looked after, made especially difficult during the winter months.”
