A MAN who died after falling from cliffs near Whitby Abbey a week ago last Wednesday has been named by police.

He was Paul Gordon Reah (41) from Grantham in Lincolnshire.

An inquest was opened and adjourned into his death at Scarborough Coroners’ Court this week.

The incident on 9 February sparked a rescue operation involving Whitby’s lifeboats which were called out after a man was reported missing. He was airlifted by the RAF to Scarborough Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
