Great grand nephew of Bram Stoker to deliver talk on Dracula.
The great grand nephew of Dracula author Bram Stoker is due to visit Whitby to deliver a presentation on his great grand uncle’s literary works.
Dacre Stoker will be visiting Whitby on April 22-23 to present a multimedia presentation exploring the mysteries behind the writing of Dracula. He said: “By analysing Bram’s writing notes, his recently published Lost Journal, the Dracula manuscript, and the books listed in his source references, together with Stoker family stories, my multi media presentation will focus
on six of the mysteries hidden within the pages of Dracula.
"Members of the Whitby Amateur Dramatics Society will present dramatic readings to help bring Bram’s background research and pages of Dracula to life.”
The presentation weaves together the details of Dracula’s history with Stoker family lore, and Bram Stoker’s life in Dublin, London, his holidays in Whitby and Cruden Bay, then separates fact from popular fiction, revealing the truth about all things Stoker and Dracula. The talk will take place at the Met Ballroom from 1pm to 2.30pm and 4pm to 5.30pm on both dates.
Tickets are priced at £10 each and can be purchased at www.seetickets.com. A club night will also be held in conjunction with the event on Saturday, April 22 from 9pm.
