GARDENS in Ruswarp will be open to the public again on Saturday after the success of last year’s event.
There will be 12 gardens on display at properties spread out across the village from Ruswarp bank and across the river to Sneaton Lane.
One of the organisers Mary Degazon said: “It was extremely successful last year but last year we did not have that number of gardens and this year there will be a flower festival in St Bartholomew’s Church.
“It is quite a big thing because the church has been closed for quite a long time and we are trying to get it part of the village again.”
Gardens are open 11am-4pm and parking is available at Richardson and Smith Auction Mart.
