The move follows the Government's announcement that some outdoor attractions are able to open from today, Monday June 15.

A statement on Flamingo Land's website reads: "Following the Government’s announcement that zoos can now open, Flamingo Land is trialling a responsible re-opening to allow our valued guests the opportunity to visit the zoo which we know many of you have missed.

"For the safety of our guests and the small team of zookeepers who are looking after our animals, numbers will be strictly limited and priority given to existing annual and resort pass holders.

"At this time, we remain unable to open our offices and customer service centre so please be aware we are unable to respond to direct queries.

"Please be assured that we are closely monitoring Government advice and working tirelessly on preparations to open more of the resort as soon as it is safe and possible to do so."

A raft of new measures have been introduced including social distancing floor markings, a keep left policy and limited availability of refreshments.

Flamingo Land has warned that no indoor spaces will be open so visitors should dress for the weather. Advanced booking is required.

The aquarium, reptile river, and play areas will remain closed.
