Celebrating God’s own county with Yorkshire Day

The region celebrated all things wonderful about our county today for Yorkshire Day.

A parade took place in the host town in West Yorkshire with dignitaries from all over the county attending.

The celebrations of Yorkshire come off the back of the county hosting the Grand depart for the Tour de France.

Gary Verity, chief executive of Welcome To Yorkshire, said: “Yorkshire Day gives the entire county a chance to show their pride all at the same time, and it’s always a delight to see how creative and passionate people are about doing this.”
