Scarborough borough's coronavirus infection rate remains static as hospitality reopens

Once again Scarborough’s coronavirus infection rate has remained static as the overall picture in North Yorkshire remains positive.

The borough’s infection rate per 100,000 remains at 11, the same as it was on both Friday and yesterday.

It is one of the lowest in North Yorkshire behind Ryedale and Hambleton and below the county and England averages which stand at 20 and 22 respectively.

It means the borough is still averaging 12 new cases a week.

Mobile testing facilities will be available in Whitby, Scarborough and Filey this week for anyone with symptoms to get tested.

William Street Coach Park in Scarborough is also still offering testing seven days a week from 8am until 8pm.
