As of June 7, 492 patients who had tested positive for Covid-19, have been discharged from the trust’s hospitals to continue their recovery.

The most recent Office for National Statistics data, released yesterday, showed that up to May 29, a total of 30 Covid-19 related deaths have occurred outside hospital in the local authority of Scarborough - 25 in care homes, three at home and two in a hospice. This includes the single week up to May 29 in which there was one death in a care home.

The health trust says it is currently seeing a reduction in Covid-19 patients being admitted and has been able to reduce the number of beds dedicated to people with the virus as a consequence.
