Across Yorkshire, a further 32 coronavirus deaths have been confirmed in hospitals.

This brings the total number of deaths in hospitals in the region to 2,001

Figures released by NHS England on Thursday, May 7 record '4' confirmed new deaths under the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

This data reflects deaths from the latest reporting period which is 5pm on Wednesday, May 6.

One person died on Tuesday, May 5 and one person died on Wednesday, May 6.

This brings the number of Covid-19 deaths in the city's hospitals to 263.

NHS England releases updated figures each day showing the dates of every coronavirus-related death in hospitals in England, often including previously uncounted deaths that took place several days or even weeks ago.

This is because of the time it takes for deaths to be confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19, for post-mortem examinations to be processed, and for data from the tests to be validated.

The new deaths confirmed across each hospital trust in Yorkshire are as follows:
