The two teams had been the tournament’s most dominant forces, finishing level in the top two spots of both Group A and then the Super League.

After featuring in the Bulls’ early encounters, Whitby’s Lyth found himself out of the side for the latter stages of the competition as the likes of Evin Lewis starred with the bat.

“Congratulations to the Warriors and a special congrats to Nicholas Pooran as a captain winning his first title,” said Bulls captain Dwayne Bravo.

Lyth will fly out to play in the Pakistan Super League for Multan Sultans, which will be played from February 20 to March 22.
