The team also visited various locations in Whitby and Scarobrough, as part of its 12 Days of Kindness Tour, handing out free hot meals and putting smiles on the faces of local people.

Esk Hall Care Home, Whitby Hospital, The Rainbow Centre and Whitby Police station also received visits.

Laura Whittle, Sales and Marketing Director at Whitby Seafoods, said: ‘We’re so pleased to be doing our 12 Days of Kindness campaign this festive season.

"As a family business, community values and helping those in need are at the heart of everything we do.

"This time of year is hard for many people as they can be affected by loneliness or for some, homelessness."
