Win a dream £25,000 wedding at luxury venue and help NHS - how to enter competition
With so many weddings being cancelled or postponed because of the Covid-19 pandemic, North Shire near Saltburn in the North York Moors National Park has launched a competition enabling one couple the chance to win a fully inclusive weekend wedding package that would normally cost £25,000.
Entries cost just £2 a ticket and the winners will be announced on August 31, raising funds for the local NHS hospitals on Teesside in the process.

This includes the Enchanted Barn for the ceremony and reception and the storybook-themed accommodation such as the Shire House which resembles a Tolkein hobbit residence or the Ground Keeper’s Cottage based on Hagrid’s Hut in the Harry Potter novels.
Together with the services of an on-site wedding coordinator and the North Shire staff, the package will also include all the catering such as a wedding breakfast, and evening buffet; fully-stocked bar; cake; DJ for the reception and a firework display.
Carol Cavendish, owner of North Shire said: “Our venue is all about escapism and providing a fairy tale experience. As we’ve seen so many couples seeing their wedding day dreams scuppered by the lockdown restrictions, we thought it would be great to offer them the chance to rekindle those dreams and plan a fairy tale celebration once life returns to normal.
