It states: “We are only selling gift hampers predominantly made up of our baked goods, but with the addition of some beers, wines or spirits.”

Elizabeth Botham set up her bakery in Whitby over 150 years ago.

It now has three locations in the town with bakeries in Skinner Street and Baxtergate alongside the Enterprise Way unit on the Whitby to Scarborough Road.

The application is now out to consultation.
