Dream Horse is on its way to Whitby Pavilion cinema.

Dream Horse, the cinema's newest arrival is a film telling the true story of Dream Alliance, an unlikely race horse bred by Welsh bartender Jan Vokes.

Dream Horse will screen at Whitby Pavilion from Monday June 21 to Thursday June 24.

With very little money and no experience, Jan convinces her neighbours to chip in their earnings to help raise Dream in the hopes he can compete with the racing elites.

With restrictions on large gatherings now likely until July, the events held in the theatre’s auditorium continue to be split into socially distant zones in order for the audience to be able to enjoy the film in a safe environment.

Disney’s Cruella is also being shown this week on Wednesday June 16 (7pm) and Thursday June 17 (7pm), with new Tom and Jerry Movie screened on Saturday June 19 and Sunday June 20 at 2pm.

Tickets for Dream Horse are onsale now and are available from the Whitby Pavilion Box Office by calling (01947) 824768 and online.

Whitby Pavilion’s cinema successfully reopened over the recent half-term holidays.
