EXPERIENCE some of the best live music Whitby has to offer with a line-up of three hot local bands on Tuesday.
The Scarlett Alliance, young indie/punk trio 3 Foot Ninja and three-piece punk rock band Panda Lasagne will all be taking to the stage at The Resolution in Flowergate.
It will be The Scarlett Alliance's first gig as a duo and is hotly anticipated by
themselves as much as Whitby gig-goers.
The Scarlett Alliance began with Jack Wilson who performed solo but now includes drummer Sam Williamson.
The band is currently finding its feet and fusing the sound of the three key instruments, guitar, drums and the voice.
They list their influences as The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, Cold War Kids, Kasabian, Brendan Benson, The Futureheads, The Hives, Nirvana, Seasick Steve, Editors, Beck and Kings of Leon.
3 Foot Ninja has recently given support to major gigs for The Subways at The Cockpit in Leeds and The Manchester Adademy.
And Panda Lasagne continues to play enthusiastically at as many local gigs as it can.
Secretary of Whitby Now, Jean Scales, said last month's money-spinner had been a huge success but she hopes even more people will come and support them.
"If more people can see what fun these events are then more will come to the next one.
"The Resolution was humming with atmosphere and goodwill and at the same time we are getting closer to the target we need to cover costs for our big event in November," she said.
Entrance to the event which starts at 8pm is free but fund-raising will be going on throughout the evening.
