TAKE a trip back in time and hear the unique sound of 60s pop sensations the Four Seasons and Frankie Valli recreated before your very eyes.
Big Girls Don't Cry, featuring the Eastcoast Boys, celebrates the music of Frankie Valli, the lead singer of the Four Seasons – and is coming to Scarborough's Futurist Theatre on Thursday.
For those too young to recall, it is hard to convey how huge the Four Seasons were when they first emerged from New Jersey in 1963 – between the end of rock and roll's first flush and the invasion of America by British groups.
Their first three singles, Sherry, Big Girls Don't Cry and Walk Like a Man, all raced to number one in the Billboard chart in rapid succession, making the spot their own for 11 weeks out of 14.
In 1975, Valli's song My Eyes Adored You hit number one on Billboard's Hot 100 and he sang the theme song from the 1978 film version of Grease, which also went to number one.
Valli and his cohorts were responsible for so many hits over the years, many of which are now regarded as solid gold classics.
This totally live show is guaranteed to have people dancing in the aisles, featuring many hits from both sides of the Atlantic: Sherry, Grease Is The Word, Bye Bye Baby, Stay, Silence is Golden, Working My Way Back to You Babe, Oh What a Night, Walk Like a Man, I Can't Take My Eyes Off You, I've Got You Under My Skin and My Eyes Adored You.
The role of Frankie Valli will be performed by Steven Serlin, formerly the star of the West End production of Saturday Night Fever.
Whether the audience want to sit back and enjoy the great music or get up and dance in the aisles, this show has something for everyone.
All seats are priced £15 for the show which starts at 8pm.
