THE SON of pop star and king of skiffle, Lonnie Donegan, will be making an appearance in Moorsholm Village Hall tomorrow night.
Peter Donegan has formed a new five-piece band which has exploded onto the scene.
And the singer has undoubtedly inherited his father's talents, but has his own unique sound and is an accomplished pianist and guitarist who also plays banjo and harmonica.
Peter played in his father's band for a time and went on his last tour as part of his band playing with, among others, Van Morrison.
He has now formed his own band, which performs a varied show in celebration of his father's music done in their own inimitable style, as well as music written by some of Lonnie's many friends and Peter's own compositions.
Peter and his band were one of the most popular attractions in Moorsholm last year and tickets are selling fast.
Tickets are £10 in advance or £12 on the door and optional seat reservation is an extra £1 per ticket.
To book call the ticketline on (07766) 741272 or email tickets@moorsholm live.co.uk.
Doors open at 7.30pm and people are asked to bring their own drinks and snacks.
