Saturday night line-up
7pm The Whitby Now Band – Whitby Now Weekender isn't just about the youngsters.
Don't miss first up – the Whitby Now band featuring Whitby Now's very own Mark Liddell, Paul Whittaker, Simon Jay and Dave Jones.
The band will be taking to the stage to entertain the crowds and get everyone in the spirit for the rest of the night.
Mark Liddell is a well-known and popular entertainer in Whitby and can sing whatever the audience wishes from rock to pop to swing.
He has worked with Paul, who is also the sound technician for Whitby Now, on many musical endeavours over the years. Paul is a former studio musician he has worked with many famous names over the years.
Simon and Dave are from the band Seven Times Lost and have also played in numerous Whitby bands over the years including the famous Red Hot Whitby Kippers.

7.30pm Tania Rodway is a solo singer from Whitby, who is, however, looking for a band to sing with.
Her music is very eclectic and ranges from modern day Duffy songs to Annie Lennox, Aretha Franklin and even Ella Fitzgerald.
She has an extremely powerful and lovely voice and is currently looking for a band to sing with.
Her Myspace page has three demo songs she has recorded to give you a flavour of what you're going to hear on the night.
Tania's singing voice is rather unique although it is somewhat reminiscent of Amy Lee from Evanescene and is really strong with a good range.

8pm Carl Robinson and Band: Carl is well-known around Whitby as being one of the best guitarists in the town with lightning fingers.
He started playing guitar as a youngster and one of his stage tricks is to play it behind his head Jimi Hendrix style.
More used to appearing solo, for this Whitby Now, Carl will be joined by his band.

8.30pm Jon Horne and the Madonnas: Jon Horne (vocal, guitar), James Wales (drums), Mark Liddell (bass, vocal) and Paul Whittaker (lead guitar, vocal)
Jon Horne is a songwriter whose ambition is to see his name in brackets rather than lights.
His main ambition is for a unique singer with a great band to cover his music.
He believes the quality of his songs speak for themselves in whatever format.
For Whitby Now, Jon has joined forces with some other Whitby Now stalwarts for a performance to remember.

9pm High Tide (Liam Dudman on vocals, Jack Hogarth guitar) is a local duo who have some amazing talent. Liam's brilliant distinctive voice and Jack's skilled guitar playing make this duo a real treat to listen to.

9.30pm Sack the Juggler (Jamie Simpson guitar, William Barber drums, Steven Johnson bass, Luke Pearson harmonica and vocals) is a four-piece blues band from Whitby.
Relatively new on the scene, the band had its first gig in April this year and has been going down a storm.
