ROCK and roll queen Linda Gail Lewis is all set to unleash her unique and spectacular myriad of piano-boogie rock to the crowds at Whitby Pavilion.
The Lousiana-born songstress, who is the sister of musical legend Jerry Lee Lewis, will be lighting up the Pavilion with a show full of pumping piano accompanied by the fabulous rock 'n' roll band, Some Like It Hot, with top 50s and 60s sounds.

In a performance which is more of a dance than a theatre show, Linda Gail will be showcasing the talent evident of her most recent album, Out of The Shadows, where she has continued to fashion her own identity away from brother Jerry.

Her unbridled success is a far cry from Linda's poverty-stricken childhood which saw her performances take place in her hometown church built by her family.

But after having toured with Shakin' Stevens, Linda Gail – who once dated Elvis Presley and is the last female to record on the famous Sun Label – her quality has spiralled resulting in a duet on the best-selling album, You Win Again, with Van Morrison.

Moving from country to good old fashioned rock 'n' roll with the occasional hint of southern blues and soul thrown in for extra flavouring, Linda has received universal acclaim from leading music critics including Rolling Stone and Time Out magazines, and is destined to keep her fans in Whitby captivated.

Tickets are £10 and for more information contact the box office on (01947) 604855.
