Oh, we do like to be beside the seaside – that is certainly true of organisers of a vintage fair which is at the Whitby Pavilion for the third year running.
It features 40 stalls laden with authentic vintage finds from the 1920s to the 1980s, including vintage fashion, small furniture, jewellery and homewares.
Organiser Caroline Brown from Rose and Brown Vintage said: “Last year was the first time that we made this a whole weekend event, and it was so well received that I couldn’t resist the idea of repeating it this year.
“Whitby is such a lovely coastal town, and it has such a buzzing, fun atmosphere that it’s the natural place to choose for the Great Seaside Vintage Fair, especially as Whitby Pavilion is the ideal venue, with its stunning sea view.
“Many of the stallholders and customers will come along sporting their finest vintage outfits, which makes it a gorgeous visual feast of colours, patterns and decades.”
This year the gair welcomes stallholders specialising in 40s to 60s clothing, vintage magazines and advertisements, menswear, Art Deco ceramics, vintage swimsuits and sunglasses, vintage vinyl and sewing paraphernalia, alongside a whole host of other vintage treasures.
Caroline said, “There will be so many irresistible things to browse and buy – and it’s, a very ecofriendly way to shop.”
The fair is on Saturday July 20 and Sunday July 21, daily from 9.3am to 4pm.
