FIVE junior members of a Whitby theatre company had something to sing and dance about this Easter, after receiving professional tuition.

Becki Cousins, Bradley Thompson, Jessica Jarman, Jordan Hill and Ryan Eglon are all members of Whitby Area Musical Theatre Company and joined 41 other 12-17- year- olds, from all over the country, at the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) Annual Youth Academy in Oakham.

The students underwent four days of intensive training in singing, dancing and acting.

The students all returned with new skills and many new friends.

Becki, Jess and Ryan will be participating in the company’s A Grand Night For Singing, at Whitby Pavilion Theatre from 12 to 14 May at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £6 throughout the theatre and it is recommended to book in advance.

The company has a booking desk at Whitby Library between 10am and 2pm or people can call the booking hotline to buy tickets on (01947) 603408.
