Thornton-le-dale Players will be staging the world premiere of a new play on Thursday 24, Friday 25 and Saturday 26 November.
Titled ‘The Belfry’ the play is set in a residential home for the not-so-young, run using somewhat questionable accounting practices and clearly questionable motives.
Over the course of this play, we see how people are not necessarily as limited as the labels we give them suggest, and that looking at life’s progress and possibilities in a different light can produce unexpected outcomes.
This ulimately uplifting play was written by Sandra Bell, a long-standing member of the players and local school teacher, who also stars and directs.
Tickets for ‘The Belfry’ are available from Wardill Bros General Store in the village (01751 474335), priced at £5.00 for adults and £3.00 for children.
