Rehearsals are well under way in Whitby for a show-stopping run of a new musical.

A wealth of local talent is busy putting the finishing touches to Whitby Area Musical Theatre Company’s Peter Pan - A Musical Adventure.

Youngsters from primary and secondary schools across Whitby and district have been busy practising their harmonies and dance routines at Caedmon School as they take on the roles of the Indian Braves and unfortunate Lost Boys.

When Wendy, John and Michael fly to Neverland they have many adventures with Captain Hook and his evil crew of pirates; the Indian Braves and the beautiful Tiger Lily as well as Peter’s gang of Lost Boys.

The show can be seen at Whitby Pavilion Theatre from Wednesday 5 December to Friday 7 December at 7.30pm.

And on Saturday 8th December at 2pm and 6.30pm.

Tickets can be purchased from Whitby Pavilion, which is now under the new management of Sheffield International Venues, which is open daily from 10am to 4pm.

Tickets are priced Circle: adults £11, kids 16 years and under £8, stalls: adults £10, kids 16 years and under £7 and a family ticket admitting two adults and two children in the stalls costs £30.
