Chart-topping band The Script, who have had hits with Breakeven and For the First Time, will play Bridlington Spa this summer on Friday 12 July.

Danny, Mark and Glen, otherwise known as The Script, released their first album nearly five years ago.

They have toured with U2, Take That and Paul McCartney, sold more than four million albums, 10 million singles and singer Danny become a house hold name as a coach on the BBC’s Saturday night TV talent show The Voice.

Their first album featured hit songs The Man Who Can’t Be Moved and Breakeven hitting the top spot in Ireland and the UK. As well as scoring another number 1 album in the UK and Ireland, their second album reached number three in the USA and had smash hits including For the First Time and Nothing.

In 2012 they released their third studio album, striking gold within just two weeks of the album’s release and spawning a hit single in Hall of Fame featuring will.i.am, which was No1 for two weeks running.

Andrew Aldis, Spa general manager, said: “Being the largest indoor venue on the Yorkshire Coast, even with a capacity of almost 4,000, The Spa Bridlington is renowned for its intimacy and we are delighted to bring an international act, up close.”
